Solar Power System Performance Testing
Solar Power System Performance Testing
The value and return on investment (ROI) of a solar array is directly linked to its performance. Solar PV array performance testing is typically carried out during start-up, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting. We test your system with our state of the art solar testing equipment these results are uploaded to our sophisticated software for analysis and we formulate a comprehensive report which is verified by our electrical engineer.
I-V curve tracing has been used for decades in solar field testing, manufacturing and research and development. I-V curve tracing is the most comprehensive measurement that can be performed on a PV panel, string or array. The I-V curve (current vs. voltage) represents all possible operating points of a PV Panel, string or array at existing environmental conditions. Our software makes it easy to visually demonstrate that the system is performing consistently and in line with expectations.
Performance Testing Overview- Full Electrical inspection - AC, DC and earthing.
- Full mechanical inspection - Inverter array(s) fittings and fixtures.
- Checking the system against Australian standards at time of its installation.
- The systems basic electrical characteristics will be tested and recorded.
- Earth resistance testing.
- Panel Clean and inspection and re-torqueing the panel fixings.
- Testing and checking the switchboard and/or sub board.
- The Inverter will be tested to ensure it is operating correctly.
- All switch gear will be tested to ensure safe operation.
- Penetration test for water and moisture ingress for all penetrations, connections and enclosures.
- Shade Analysis.
- Site Irradiance measurements.
- Pre clean I-V Curve test and analysis.
- Post clean I-V Curve test and analysis.
